Welcome to my website, whether you followed a link here or arrived of your own accord.  It include blogs on my various passions, including hashing (if you don't know you will find out), wine, travel and painting.  There is also a gallery of some of my paintings and occasionally I will be selling something, with 100% of the proceeds going to Arts for Dementia, a small charity in the UK that does amazing things to help people diagnosed with dementia.  More of that on another page. 

About me

I am getting on a bit, "retired" now since 2013.  The title I chose for this web page "Retired, Not Retired" reflects the fact that I have no intention of sitting back with my feet up and doing nothing.  In fact who does these days?  We all need to be useful in some way, whether as indispensable support to the family, continuing to be economically active, or perhaps through volunteering.  I have a decent pension so I chose the latter and became Treasurer of a charity, Arts for Dementia, and later Chair of the Trustees.  I served my time as a Trustee  but created this site so that I could carry on supporting the charity through occasional fundraising and in other ways.

So here we are, and I am also demonstrating that age is no barrier to getting to grips with technology.  Whatever brought you here, thanks for reading, and I hope you are as engaged and enjoying your self as much as I am!  And if you also bought something, thank you for your donation.
